Note re Prints: the judge derived the scores based on the print but reminded us that the digital image should be exactly the same as the print. In many cases, the crop and/or the exposure were different in the print and digital, and the judge has made some recommendations in those cases but this did NOT impact on the score.
Set Subject “Self Portrait” / “Crowds”
Self Portrait: A genre of art in which the artist depicts his or her self-image. Most often composed in paintings or photographs, artists have used both photorealist and expressionist styles to convey their senses of self, using methods of pictorial representation.
Crowds: A crowd is a large group of people that are gathered or considered together. A crowd may be definable through a common purpose or set of emotions, such as at apolitical rally, a sports event, or may simply be made up of many people going about their business in a busy area.
